CFP: The Annual Privacy Forum 2012

Papers offering novel research contributions in the areas of privacy and trust are solicited for submission to the 1st edition of APF2012. The conference will take place on Cyprus, October 10-12, 2012.
The focus is on original, high quality, unpublished research and implementation experiences as well as position papers and papers that offer a systematization of knowledge. Submitted papers must not substantially overlap with papers that have been published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal or a conference with proceedings. We encourage submissions of papers discussing industrial research and development. Papers should focus topics under the following themes:
- PETs
- Privacy models
- Privacy by design
- Economics of privacy
- Economics of privacy and PETs
- Fielded systems and techniques for enhancing privacy in existing systems
- Location privacy
- Privacy awareness raising and education
- Privacy by policy
- Privacy and inference control in databases
- Pseudonyms, identity management, link ability, and reputation
- Reliability, robustness and abuse prevention in privacy systems
- Traffic analysis
- Awareness raising and education
- Privacy by policy
- Anonymous communications and publishing systems
- Attacks on privacy and privacy technologies
- Censorship resistance
- Privacy-enhanced access control or authentication/certification
- Privacy-friendly payment mechanisms for PETs and other services
- Privacy in Online Social Networks
- Privacy policy languages and tools
- Privacy models
- Privacy by design
- Transparency enhancing tools
- Usability issues and user interfaces for PETs
After the conference, extended versions of selected papers will be considered for publication in a major security-focused journal. Those papers will undergo at least another review round.
Instructions for papers submission
All submissions should be up to 12 pages, excluding bibliography and appendices. PC members are not required to read the appendices, so the paper should be intelligible without them. Submissions must be written in English.
Authors must submit their papers by the deadline indicated below, using the conference web site and following the requirements stated there.
