a glimpse of crete

Crete is the largest island of Greece and the centre of the Minoan civilization, the earliest "high culture" civilization in Europe. Covering more than 8000km² and with a coastline more than 1000km long, it offers plenty of opportunities for adventure and exploration to the visitor.

The following gallery presents some of the island's highlights. Most pictures have information and map links displayed next to their title during the slideshow. So, you can start making plans for your free time on Crete.
