About the positions

The Ikerbasque Basque Fundation for Science, created by the Basque Government, aims to develop scientific research in the Basque Country by attracting senior researchers and creating new research capacities. Ikerbasque has launched 2 new international calls to reinforce research and scientific career in the Basque Country. Mondragon University's Telematics group is willing to host candidates in the area of Computer Security.

The offered positions include:

  • 25 positions for Promising Researchers (Ikerbasque Research Fellows):
    • Candidates must have received a PhD degree between January 2003 and December 2010.
    • A support letter from the host group (Mondragon University) is mandatory. See "Furher Information" below for contact details.
    • The contracts offered are for 5 years.
    • The deadline for applications is June 30, 2013.
  • 10 permanent positions for Senior Researcher (Ikerbasque Research Professor):
    • Candidates must be researchers with a solid research track and leadership capabilities.
    • The applicants must have their PhD completed before January 2005.
    • The contracts offered will be for permanent positions within any of the Basque Research Institution (Mondragon University).
    • The deadline for applications is July 15, 2013.

About Mondragon University's Telematics group

The main goal of the Telematics Research group is to address the new challenges raised by the most recent developments and usages of information technologies by providing solutions to enhance the trust of individuals on the new ICT landscape through secure and trustworthy technologies. Our research group is contributing in areas such as: Social network security, embedded system security, security in SCADA, critical infrastructure security, security in industrial control systems or security in mobile devices and networks.
